Original Story: A boil water advisory has been put in place for residents and businesses along Manor Drive in Ebensburg, according to the borough manager. A water line break along Manor Drive is the reason for the boil advisory, and it has resulted in high turbidity levels in the water.

According to officials, high turbidity in water allows for a greater risk of bacteria and other microorganisms to become prevalent, which if ingested can lead to symptoms of nausea, cramps, diarrhea, and headaches.

At this time, the water authority cannot say when the advisory will be lifted, and there is major concern for the residents and staff of Cambria Care Center, which is located on Manor Drive.

All of those affected are advised to not consume any water without boiling it first, or just use bottled water for the time being.
